The Continental Grand Prix 5000 All Season TR is an all-season tire that builds upon the Grand Prix 5000 S TR, adding increased puncture protection and grip.

This tire features improved sidewall protection with reinforced construction and superior grip in all-weather conditions, with a thicker tread to handle even the roughest roads. Continental's Black Chili compound is always based on the latest knowledge of polymers and raw material research. Depending on the application of a tire, the compound formulation is adjusted for the specific discipline. Special synthetic rubbers are refined with proven natural rubber to high-performance tread mixtures, with soot particles optimised in shape and surface properties.
The Vectran™ Breaker is spun from liquid crystal-polymer, creating a thermoplastic, multiple-thread yarn. This partially crystalline fabric is more cut-resistant than aramide and its tensile strength is five times higher than that of steel. A Vectran™ Breaker is lighter, more flexible and effective against cuts than a comparable nylon breaker, without affecting rolling resistance. Lazer Grip makes the rider one with the road. The lazered micro profile structure expands over the tire’s shoulder and provides outstanding cornering. Active Comfort Technology is embedded in the tire construction to absorb vibrations and smoothen the ride.
The carcass construction is robust and impervious against damage and penetration from foreign objects. These tires are versatile, low weight and can be used as Tubeless or with an inner tube. For initial mounting, it is recommended to use at least 30 ml of Continental Revo-Sealant per tire.
