The new SmartEVO2 represents the latest advancement in Pirelli's high-performance racing bicycle tyre compound, enhanced by incorporating their motorsport expertise at the highest level and the needs of modern World Tour racing. It evolves from the SmartEVO blend of three polymers with 'smart' characteristics, utilising new materials and innovative mixing processes. SpeedCore brings a thinner rubber layer that allows for better handling, while the aramid fibres dispersed in the blend provide the necessary mechanical strength.
