On the carbon Merida eBikes the extender will only start working once the main 600wh battery has completely depleted. There will be a short period of time in limp mode before the extender takes over and offers you the full range of power.
On the alloy Merida eBikes the extender will be used first before the main 750wh battery is used depleting the extender first followed by the main bike battery.
