Meet Pete, our Store Manager.
Pete has been part of the 2 Wheels Only team since 2019 and is best known for two things: his legendary ginger hair and the astonishing frequency with which he swaps bikes, parts, and setups. If there’s a new component, drivetrain, or frame worth trying, chances are Pete’s already ridden it… twice.
With over 14 years in the trade, Pete is a genuine fountain of knowledge. He’s brilliant at helping customers cut through the noise, understand what really matters for their riding, and make decisions they’ll still be happy with years down the line.
These days, you’ll often find Pete lurking somewhere in the back of our double-decker bus, quietly getting on with something important — usually juggling stock, solving problems, or making sure everything runs exactly as it should.

Pete is often able to expand on real-world experience, whether that’s eBike battery range, suspension feel, or tyre choice. He rides and runs a huge variety of bikes and components, giving him a broad and practical understanding of the off-road world — not just what looks good on a spec sheet.
About me
Hi, I’m Pete — also known as “the ginger one”.
(It’s my superpower, not a disability.)
I’ve been riding bikes for most of my life and have spent my entire working career in the cycle industry. Bikes are what I know, what I ride, and what I genuinely enjoy helping people get right.
When I’m not swapping bikes, I’m usually swapping cars — another long-standing passion of mine. I seem to change both far more often than most people, but I like to think it keeps things fresh… and gives me plenty of real-world experience along the way.

My approach
I start by listening. How you ride, where you ride, and what you actually want from your bike matters far more than chasing specs or trends.
I'm known for giving straight, honest advice — even if that means talking someone out of a more expensive option when it’s not the right fit. I know some people may find that hard to believe 😉 The aim is simple: Getting the customer into a product that feels right, works properly, and still makes sense long after the initial excitement has worn off. Oh, and looks amazing every time you open that garage door!
Because I ride and rotate a wide range of bikes myself, my guidance is based on real-world use — how they perform on the trail, how they hold up over time, and what genuinely improves the riding experience.
