The FC-M8200 Deore XT crankset perfectly balances rigidity and weight, using HollowTech II alloy forging and a standard 24mm steel spindle to create a crankset that's strong enough to survive burly impacts, while remaining light enough for XC use. Offered in lengths from 160 - 175mm and with all sizes of the reinforced SM-CR86 direct-mount chainring, there is a specification of FC-M8200 for every trail rider.

HollowTech II

Its outboard bottom bracket bearing system provides better weight distribution and more pedaling stability, allowing for more efficient power transfer.

Why choose the 24mm axle and bearings for the HollowTech II crankset?
The diameter of the Bottom Bracket axle and bearings was of primary importance for the development because the Bottom Bracket axle area is tied to such key elements as stiffness, strength, weight and rotating performance.

Outboard Bearing
